武道具屋 (Budogu-ya) means "martial arts shop" in Japanese.

This shop has been set up to support all of us who need quality gear for Budo or martial arts, especially the ones which are not traditionally well supported in New Zealand like Iaido, Kendo, etc. Having done Iaido and Kendo for over 14 years now, both in Japan and in New Zealand, I realise first hand what a struggle it can sometimes be to get good quality gear at a reasonable price. This can be especially true anywhere outside of Japan.
